Radiant heat is the most comfortable form of heat, since it heats objects rather than air. The heat radiates to your body and you feel warm and comfortable. Unlike conventional heat, floors, rather than ceilings, are the warmest part of the room, so that you have warm feet and a cool head.  Radiant heat is also more efficient and will save 20-40% of the cost of heating with conventional methods. Radiant heat systems operate without any noise or sound. In addition, there are no drafts or air movement so dust and germs aren't spread around.

At Seely Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, we have installed Radiant Heat in many of our customers homes.  We stand behind our belief that Radiant is Comfortable, Cost Effective and virtually unnoticeable.

Many owners of older homes without forced-air HVAC systems, would like to add central air conditioning and/or heating ducts, but are daunted by the cost and difficulty of the installation process. Installation of ductwork may require removing large sections of walls, floors or ceilings, or adding unsightly box chases.
However, High Velocity Heating and Cooling systems minimize these alterations by using small diameter ducts that can be more easily threaded through floor, ceiling, and wall cavities.
High velocity systems operate quietly and improve dehumidification, room air mixing, and energy efficiency over standard air-delivery duct systems.

A ductless mini-split air conditioner is an excellent choice for any climate and home. These systems are also often used for whole-house cooling in homes with hot water radiant heat (no hot-air ductwork).

These ductless air conditioners are called mini-splits because they are similar to a regular ducted central air conditioner, but on a smaller scale. The compressor unit is located outdoors and a super-quiet cooling unit is mounted high on a wall or ceiling.

Instead of using window air-conditioners, which block windows and can present a security risk, the tiny refrigerant lines and wiring come indoors through a three-inch hole in the wall. When properly positioned, three ductless indoor units can easily cool an entire house.

In addition to the comfort and quiet operation, using a ductless model, with or without central air-conditioning, can save you money. These units are equipped with hand-held remotes that allow you to cool only certain areas of your home during certain times, which results in big savings on your electric bills.
